Delete your account
Account deletion happens inside the Haru app while you are signed in. That way we know the request comes from the account holder. There is no anonymous web form that can delete someone else’s account.
How to delete (signed in)
- Open Haru and sign in with the account you want to remove.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted, check the confirmation box, type DELETE, then confirm.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in credentials (Firebase Authentication)
- Your caregiver profile and membership records
- Local care data stored on the device you use to delete
- If you are the only member of the household, the family’s cloud care history (baby profile, timeline, medication plans, invites)
- If other caregivers still share the household, only your membership is removed — their shared logs stay
What may remain briefly
- Encrypted backups or operational logs for up to 30 days, then removed in normal rotation (unless law requires longer)
- Copies on other devices until those apps are uninstalled or local storage is cleared
If you cannot sign in
If you lost access to your account, email privacy@harucare.ca from the email on the account. We will verify ownership before deleting. Prefer the in-app flow whenever you can sign in.
